📱 Method 1: Using Messages App (iOS 18 and later)

This is the easiest way if your iPhone is updated to iOS 18 or newer.

  1. Open the Messages app on your iPhone.

  2. Start a new conversation or open an existing one.

  3. Tap the “+” button next to the text field.

  4. Select “Send Later” from the menu.

  5. Choose the date and time you want the message to be sent.

  6. The text field will now show a dashed border and the scheduled time.

  7. Type your message as usual.

  8. Tap the send arrow to confirm scheduling.

  9. Your message will appear with a dashed outline until it’s sent.

You can schedule messages up to 14 days in advance. You must be online to edit or delete scheduled texts

🔧 Method 2: Using Shortcuts App (iOS 13–17)

If you’re on an older iOS version, use Apple’s Shortcuts app:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.

  2. Tap the “+” icon to create a new shortcut.

  3. Tap “Add Action” and search for “Send Message”.

  4. Select a contact and type your message.

  5. Tap the “i” icon next to the action and enable “Show When Run” (optional).

  6. Tap “Next”, name your shortcut, and tap “Done”.

  7. Go to the Automation tab in Shortcuts.

  8. Tap Create Personal Automation.

  9. Choose a time of day and set the schedule.

  10. Add the shortcut you just created.

  11. Turn off Ask Before Running to send automatically.

This method doesn’t send messages exactly at the scheduled time unless you disable confirmation prompts
