🔹 For New Airtel Prepaid/Postpaid SIM

  1. Insert the SIM into your phone

    • Power off your device, insert the new Airtel SIM into the SIM slot, and restart the phone.

  2. Complete Tele-verification

    • Dial 59059 from your Airtel number to verify your identity.

    • You’ll be asked for details like your date of birth or alternate number used during registration.

  3. Wait for Network Activation

    • After successful verification, your SIM will be activated within 30 minutes to 4 hours.

    • You’ll see Airtel network bars once activation is complete.

🔹 For Airtel eSIM Activation

  1. Send SMS to initiate eSIM setup

    • Type: eSIM <email ID> and send it to 121 from your Airtel number.

  2. Confirm via SMS

    • Airtel will reply with instructions. Reply with “1” to confirm.

  3. Receive QR Code on Email

    • You’ll get a QR code on your registered email.

    • Scan it using your phone’s eSIM setup (Settings > Mobile Network > Add eSIM).

  4. eSIM gets activated shortly

    • It may take a few minutes to sync and show network.

🔹 For SIM Replacement or Reactivation

  1. Visit nearest Airtel store

    • Carry valid ID proof and your old SIM (if available).

  2. Request SIM replacement or reactivation

    • The staff will issue a new SIM linked to your old number.

  3. Insert and verify via 59059

    • Follow the same tele-verification process as a new SIM.
