🔐 Step 1: Switch to a Private Account
This ensures only approved followers can see your followers and following lists.
Open the Instagram app.
Tap your profile icon (bottom right).
Tap the three lines (top right) → Select Settings and privacy.
Go to Account privacy.
Toggle on Private account.
Now, only people you approve can see your followers and who you follow
🚫 Step 2: Remove Unwanted Followers
If someone already follows you and you don’t want them to see your list:
Go to your profile → Tap Followers.
Find the user → Tap Remove next to their name.
🙅 Step 3: Restrict or Block Specific Users
To prevent certain users from seeing your activity:
Go to their profile → Tap the three dots → Select Restrict.
They won’t see when you're online or if you've read their messages.
Tap the three dots on their profile → Select Block.
They won’t be able to see your profile, followers, or posts.
🧪 Step 4: Use Close Friends for Stories
To limit who sees your Instagram Stories:
Go to your profile → Tap three lines → Close Friends.
Add people you trust.
When posting a story, choose Close Friends instead of “Your Story”.
