Step.1: Generate Your Unique Porting Code (UPC)
Send an SMS:
PORT <your 10-digit mobile number>
to 1900 from your Airtel SIM.You’ll receive a message with your UPC and its expiry date
Step.2: Visit a Jio Store or Retailer
Go to your nearest Jio Store, Jio Retailer, or use the MyJio app or Jio website to initiate the porting request
Carry your original Aadhaar card or other valid Proof of Identity/Address.
Step.3: Submit the Porting Request
Share your UPC and complete the Customer Application Form (CAF).
If you’re on a postpaid Airtel plan, clear any pending dues before porting.
Step.4: Receive and Activate Your Jio SIM
You’ll get a new Jio SIM card.
It will be activated within:
3 working days if porting within the same telecom circle.
5 working days if porting to a different circle
Step.5: Start Using Jio
Once activated, insert the Jio SIM and enjoy Jio services.
Your Airtel SIM will stop working automatically after the port is complete.
