✅ Step 1: Backup Your Data
Before deleting, download important emails, contacts, and files.
Select Gmail and any other services you want to back up
🔐 Step 2: Sign in to Your Google Account
Log in using the Gmail account you want to delete.
⚙️ Step 3: Navigate to Data & Privacy
On the left menu, click “Data & Privacy”
Scroll down to “Download or delete your data”
Click “Delete a Google service”
📧 Step 4: Choose Gmail to Delete
You’ll be asked to sign in again for security.
Click the trash bin icon next to Gmail.
If Gmail is your primary Google login, you’ll need to provide a new email address to keep using other Google services (like Drive or YouTube).
✅ Step 5: Confirm Deletion
Google will send a confirmation email to your alternate email.
Open that email and click the confirmation link.
Once confirmed, your Gmail account will be permanently deleted.
⚠️ Important Notes
You’ll lose all emails and access to Gmail.
Other Google services (Drive, Photos, YouTube) remain active if you provide a new login email.
Deleted Gmail accounts cannot be recovered.
