How To Play Rummy?
1. Understand the Objective
The goal is to form at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (no Joker), and the rest can be sets or sequences.
A valid declaration ends the game.
2. Know the Setup
Players: 2 to 6 players.
Deck: Two 52-card decks with Jokers.
Cards per player: Each player gets 13 cards.
Joker: One card is randomly selected as a wild Joker. Printed Jokers are also used.
3. Learn the Terminology
Sequence: Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.
Pure Sequence: No Joker used.
Impure Sequence: Includes a Joker.
Set: Three or four cards of the same rank but different suits.
4. Start the Game
Each player draws a card; the highest card starts the game.
Players take turns in clockwise order.
5. Play Your Turn
Draw: Pick one card from either the open deck or closed deck.
Discard: Drop one unwanted card to the open deck.
Form combinations: Try to create sequences and sets with your cards.
6. Use Jokers Wisely
Jokers can replace any card in a set or impure sequence.
They cannot be used in a pure sequence.
7. Declare When Ready
Once you have:
One pure sequence
One more sequence (pure or impure)
Remaining cards in valid sets or sequences
Click “Declare” and show your hand.
8. Validation and Scoring
If your declaration is valid, you win.
Invalid declaration results in a penalty (usually 80 points).
Points are calculated based on ungrouped cards in opponents’ hands.
