1. Understand the Goal

• The aim is to win chips by forming the best 5-card hand or by getting others to fold.

2. Know the Hand Rankings (Best to Worst)

• Royal Flush: A♠ K♠ Q♠ J♠ 10♠

• Straight Flush: Five consecutive cards of the same suit

• Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank

• Full House: Three of a kind + a pair

• Flush: Five cards of the same suit

• Straight: Five consecutive cards (any suit)

• Three of a Kind

• Two Pair

• One Pair

• High Card

3. Set Up the Game

• Use a standard 52-card deck.

• Each player gets 2 hole cards (face down).

• The dealer rotates clockwise each round.

4. Post the Blinds

• The two players left of the dealer post the small blind and big blind (forced bets to start the pot).

5. Deal the Hole Cards

• Each player receives 2 private cards (hole cards).

6. First Betting Round (Pre-Flop)

• Starting with the player left of the big blind, players can:

  • Call (match the big blind)

  • Raise (increase the bet)

  • Fold (give up the hand)

7. The Flop

• Dealer places 3 community cards face-up on the table.

• Second round of betting begins.

8. The Turn

• Dealer adds a 4th community card.

• Third round of betting.

9. The River

• Dealer adds the 5th and final community card.

• Final round of betting.

10. The Showdown

• Remaining players reveal their hands.

• Best 5-card hand wins the pot.
