How To Make Saathiya?

✏️ Step 1: Prepare Your Surface
Choose a clean, flat surface—floor, wall, or paper.
If drawing for a ritual, use red or yellow color powder, turmeric paste, or kumkum.
🔲 Step 2: Draw a Central Cross
Start by drawing a plus sign (+) with equal-length vertical and horizontal lines.
This forms the base structure of the Saathiya.
🔄 Step 3: Add Right-Angle Arms
At the end of each line, draw a short line at a 90° angle, turning clockwise:
Top end → line to the right
Right end → line downward
Bottom end → line to the left
Left end → line upward
📐 Step 4: Extend the Arms
Extend each of the new short lines by 1–2 cm to form the “hook” shape.
You now have a clockwise Swastik, which is considered auspicious.
🪙 Step 5: Add Decorative Dots (Optional)
Place four dots around the Swastik—one in each quadrant.
These dots symbolize spiritual completeness and are common in Jain Saathiya designs.
🎨 Step 6: Use Colors or Materials
Fill the design with Rangoli powder, rice flour, or flower petals.
For temple use, you can draw it with sindoor, haldi, or sandalwood paste.
