Aari Arjunan was born on 12 February 1986, in Palani, Tamil Nadu, India. Born to Jeetendra (businessman) and Muthulakshmi.

He completed his schooling in Arulmigu palaniandavar, Palani, Tamil Nadu, and St. Joseph School, Tamil Nadu, and he completed his Graduation in MK College, Tamil Nadu.

Before entering the film industry he is a fitness trainer and he trained many actors like Jeeva, Aadhi, and others to remain fit and healthy.

He made his debut in films with the film Aadum Koothu (2005) which is directed by T. V. Chandran.

He made his feature film debut in the film Rettaisuzhi (2010), produced by director Shankar and directed by Thamira and Anjali, who played Aari's love interest.
