1.ROBERT PERSHING WADLOW (272 CENTIMETERS)

Robert Pershing Wadlow (February 22, 1918 – July 15, 1940), also known as the Alton Giant and the Giant of Illinois, was an American man who was the tallest person in recorded history for whom there is irrefutable evidence. He was born and raised in Alton, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.

He is the first Tallest Person In The World. Wadlow reached 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m) in height and weighed 439 lb (199 kg) at his death at age 22. His great size and his continued growth in adulthood were due to hyperplasia of his pituitary gland, which results in an abnormally high level of human growth hormone (HGH). Even by the time of his death, there was no indication that his growth had ended.

2.JOHN ROGAN(267 CENTIMETERS)

John Rogan was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee, on February 16, 1868. He was the son of the former slave William Rogan, as the fourth of twelve children. John began to grow very rapidly at the age of 13, leading to ankylosis (abnormal rigidity of the skeletal joints). By 1882, he could not stand or walk. He is the Second  Tallest Person In The World.

Although he could not perform physical labor due to his condition, Rogan made a living by selling portraits and postcards at a train station. An 1897 article in the Kansas City Journal mentions that a number of his drawings were published. Despite his success in this regard, he declined all offers to join carnivals and sideshows.

By 1899, he had grown to a height of 8 ft 6 in (2.59 m) and often appeared in newspapers, referred to as the "negro giant". He used a cart like a wheelchair; it was pulled by goats. He was always the center of attention, often noted for his deep voice and playful attitude. Rogan died on September 12, 1905, due to complications from his ankylosis.

Rogan's hands measured 11.5 in (29 cm) in length and his feet measured 13.7 in (35 cm) in length. He grew to 8 ft 9 in (2.67 m) tall but weighed only 205 pounds (93 kg). Rogan is the tallest person of African descent, and remains the second tallest person on record, surpassed only by Robert Wadlow.

3.JOHN F.CARROLL(263.5 CENTIMETERS)

John F. Carroll (1932–1969) is one of 20 known people in medical history to have reached a height of 8 feet (240 cm) or more. He suffered from severe, 2-dimensional spinal curvature (Kyphoscoliosis) and acromegalic gigantism. He had a standing height of 8 ft 1⁄4 in (244 cm) on October 14, 1959, at age 27 but his height would have been 8 ft 7 3⁄4 in (264 cm), assuming normal curvature of the spine. He was later measured at 7 ft 10 1⁄2 in (240 cm) in 1968, having shrunk in stature due to his worsening spinal condition. He is the Third  Tallest Person In The World.

Carroll was born in Buffalo, New York, and also known as the Buffalo Giant in the medical literature. He was third in stature only to Robert Wadlow and John Rogan. His extraordinary growth started at the age of sixteen and continued until his death, despite extensive treatments at Mercy Hospital. At one point he grew eight inches in height in a year. He was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna, New York.

4.LEONID STEPANOVYCH STADNYK(257 CENTIMETERS)

Leonid Stepanovych Stadnyk (5 August 1969 – 24 August 2014) was a Ukrainian man who claimed to have stood at 8 feet 5 inches or 2.57 meters tall. He is the Fourth  Tallest Person In The World.

Stadnyk's excessive growth began after brain surgery at the age of 13, after which he developed a pituitary gland tumor that caused the gland to secrete large amounts of growth hormone. This resulted in what doctors describe as acromegalic gigantism. Twenty years after the surgery, the doctors discovered the tumor had mysteriously disappeared and he was currently healthy. He reportedly wore US size 24.5 shoes. Although he held the title for a month, Stadnyk, having no interest in being in any record book, refused to be measured, ending his GWR recognition. Others have questioned the legitimacy of his record, noting that Stadnyk had never been officially measured by Guinness World Records, only by the "Ukrainian Book of Records" that says that he measures 2.44 meters (8 ft 1⁄8 in).


5.Väinö Myllyrinne(251.4 CENTIMETERS)

Väinö Myllyrinne (27 February 1909 – 13 April 1963)) was an acromegalic giant who was at one time (1940–1963) the world's tallest living person, and may have become the tallest after the death of Robert Wadlow. He stood 224 cm (7 ft 4 in) and weighed 141 kg (22 stone; 311 pounds) at the age of 21, but experienced a second phase of growth in his late thirties, attaining a height of 251.4 cm (8 ft 3.0 in) and weighing 376 pounds. He is the Fifth  Tallest Person In The World.

Myllyrinne was born in Helsinki, Grand Duchy of Finland, and is considered the tallest soldier ever, having served in the Finnish Defence Forces. He underwent his conscript training in 1929 in the Viipuri Heavy Artillery Regiment and was 220 cm (7 ft 3 in) tall and very strong. In the 1930s he traveled around Europe as a professional wrestler and circus performer. He returned to Finland in 1939 to serve in the Finnish Army during the Winter War. In 1946, he moved to Järvenpää and ran a chicken farm. He died in Helsinki in 1963 and is buried at Järvenpää.In 1962, just a year before his death, he was measured by doctors at 2.47 m (8 ft 1.2 in). He had a 340 mm (13.4 in) size hand, the greatest known.

6.Édouard Beaupré(251 CENTIMETERS)

Édouard Beaupré (January 09, 1881 - July 03, 1904), was a Canadian circus and freak show giant, wrestler, strongman, and star of Barnum and Bailey's circus. He was one of the tallest men in recorded history, with a reported height of 2.51 m (8 ft 3 in). He is the Sixth  Tallest Person In The World.

Édouard Beaupré was born in the southern Saskatchewan town of Willow Bunch on January 09, 1881. He was the first of 20 children born to Gaspard Beaupré and Florestine Piché, a Métis. When he started school at seven, he was of average height, but at nine he was already 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in), and at 12 he was over 2.00 m (6 ft 6 1⁄2 in) tall. He stopped going to school at this time, but not because he was simple. He spoke French, English, Méchif, Cree and Sioux. He was an excellent horseman but by the age of 17 he had reached the height of 2.15 m (7 ft 1⁄2 in) and he abandoned the trade

Beaupré signed a contract on July 01, 1904, with the Barnum and Bailey circus to appear at the St. Louis World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. He died at age 23 of a pulmonary hemorrhage, a complication of tuberculosis, at the fairground hospital on July 03, 1904. At the time of his death, he was 2.51 m (8 ft 3 in) tall and weighed 170 kilograms (370 lb), as indicated on his death certificate.

7.Sultan Kösen(251 CENTIMETERS)

Sultan Kösen (born 10 December 1982) is a Turkish man who holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest living male at 251 centimeters (8 ft 2.82 in). His growth resulted from the condition acromegaly, caused by a tumor affecting his pituitary gland. Due to his condition, he uses crutches to walk. He is the Seventh  Tallest Person In The World.

8.JINNAT ALI(249 CENTIMETERS)

Ali was born in 1996, in Barabili village of Gorjania union under Ramu Upazila of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh to Amir Hamza, a farmer, and Shahampura Begum. Ali is the second son of his parents with whom he lives with. Ali also lives with one of his sisters and two brothers. Family sources have stated that; 11 years ago, Jinnat Ali's body suddenly started to grow abnormally. His body is known to be still continuing to grow at the age of 23. Ali's height is predicted to keep increasing, and therefore he must eat at least a kilogram of food every day - to keep a sufficient muscle mass and healthy weight. According to Dr. Md Farid Uddin, the doctor of BSMMU, Jinnat suffers from acromegalic gigantism—a - condition caused by a tumor on his pituitary gland which causes his body to produce too many growth hormones.  He is the Eighth Tallest Person In The World.

9.VIKAS KUMAR UPPAL(249 CENTIMETERS)

Vikas Kumar "Vicky" Uppal (1 January 1986 – 30 June 2007) was a native and resident of India, said to be India's tallest man until his death on 30 June 2007 when he died during a failed brain tumor operation in Delhi, India. On 12 January 2004, The Tribune reported him to be 8 ft 3 in (2.51 m) tall and still growing, being in his late teens. He is the Ninth Tallest Person In The World.

Vikas was from the Rohtak district in the Indian state of Haryana. He was photographed for The Hindu on 25 September 2006 at a rally held by the Indian National Lok Dal. He was thought to be 8 feet 9 inches (2.67 m) tall; however, he has been reported otherwise to be an unconfirmed 8 feet 1 inch (2.46 m) tall, and as was born in 1986 was most likely that he could grow no further. He could have been considered the world's tallest living man, but the Guinness Book of Records has strict verification criteria; hence, did not measure Vicky. He also had been said to have hands 13 inches (33 cm) long and feet 19 inches (48 cm) long, and appears in photographs to be proportionate, not obviously a pathological (acromegalic, for example) giant. He also acted in a Bollywood movie Rang De Basanti.

10.DONALD A.KOEHLER(249 CENTIMETERS)

Donald A. Koehler (September 1, 1925 – February 26, 1981) is one of 20 known people in medical history to reach a height of 8 feet (244 cm) or more. He was generally recognized as the tallest living man in the world from at least 1969 until his death in 1981. At one time, Koehler stood 249 cm (8'2") tall, a result of the medical condition acromegalic gigantism. He is the Tenth Tallest Person In The World.
